Meet Kyamithenge Group

One of WEI’s newest partner groups in Kenya is Taa Wa Kyamithenge, which translated means “Light of Kyamithenge.” This group is one of three that will receive matching tanks from this year’s Walk for Water. Introduced to WEI by a group in a neighboring village, these 35 women desire to “be light in our aread by doing the worthy project of water.”


Water Tanks Are Full!

The Rains Have Come and the Water Tanks are Full!

Across the countryside of eastern Kenya, water tanks are full to the brim with clean rainwater. Thanks to the rain and a full 10,000 liter water tank, WEI member-families are no longer worried about finding water in the dry months ahead.

The Fourth Annual Walk for Water links walkers here with hard-working women in rural Kenya in partnership to bring the life-giving gift of clean water to families in need. Join the cause by walking, sponsoring a walker, or donating to purchase a 10,000 liter water tank to harvest the rain.
