Service

• WEI is motivated by God’s love for us and Christ’s call to love our neighbors as ourselves. Our work with women, their families and communities, is an expression of that love.
• Prayer is the foundation on which the work of WEI is built. Through prayer we seek God’s leading and intercede for one another.
• We are co-laborers with God, recognizing in our work the value and dignity of each woman we serve and seeking to bring about hope and opportunity for them and their families.
• In all we do, we seek to bear the Fruit of the Spirit: love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, and self-control.

Stewardship

• We desire to conduct our personal and organizational lives with integrity. We are committed to transparency in our financial and organizational dealings.
• We seek to continually expand our knowledge and understanding of the cultures in which we work, holistic development practices, Biblical principles, and God’s working in the world.
• We provide opportunities for men and women to use their time, talent, and treasure in ways that will benefit those we serve.

Sustainability

• We support and encourage leadership development among the women with whom we work. We partner with women’s groups in non-urban settings to develop culturally sensitive and appropriate projects that enable women to share in leadership, decision-making, monitoring, and ownership, resulting in benefits for themselves, their families, and their communities.
• We believe that God has provided each woman with resources that can be used to bring about transformation in her life and the life of her family and community, and through our work, we encourage women to recognize and use these God-given resources.
